A fascinating presentation by our own Tony Paice on a hostage crisis during the Gulf War.
Be sure to book in soon for this memorable evening on Thursday 18 April at the Guildhall. Light refreshments will be served from 6:15pm with the talk commencing at 6:30pm. Tony will speak from his personal experience of the events leading up to the Gulf War breaking out in 1990. A former Foreign Service officer who was in Kuwait at the time of invasion, Tony brings a unique perspective to the history of the conflict. Of particular interest will be the events surrounding the seizure of British Airways Flight 149 and the hundreds of passengers taken hostage by the Iraqi forces.
For Court members, the talk will take place following the conclusion of the Lady Day court meeting.
